Vzw De Bolster is een voorziening voor volwassenen met een verstandelijke beperking en/of een niet-aangeboren hersenletsel. Onze missie luidt: ‘Je eigen leven vorm geven, met ondersteuning daar waar nodig, met respect voor jouw levensverhaal, met oog voor jouw kwaliteit’. Wij ondersteunen in de regio Zuid Oost-Vlaanderen ongeveer 300 personen met een verstandelijke beperking en 30 personen met een niet-aangeboren hersenletsel. Wij bieden onze cliënten woonondersteuning, dagondersteuning en individuele begeleiding aan. Vzw De Bolster heeft als doel om samen met de cliënt vorm te geven aan zijn/haar levenskwaliteit. Dit gebeurt in dialoog met de cliënt en zijn sociaal netwerk. Verder zetten we in op het welbevinden en de professionaliteit van onze medewerkers, zowel individueel als in teamverband. We handelen vanuit de principes van deugdelijk ondernemerschap, en werken vanuit een christelijke mens- en maatschappijvisie. De waarden die ons handelen richten zijn: 'de mens centraal', 'krachtgericht werken', 'de hartelijke professional', 'team als basis' en 'openheid als grondhouding'. In onze vestigingen in Zwalm (maatschappelijke zetel) en Kluisbergen ondersteunen wij personen met een verstandeljike beperking. Onze vestiging in Ronse richt zich naar personen met een niet-aangeboren hersenletsel. Daarnaast bieden wij beschermd wonen + jobcoaching (in Herzele, Gavere in Zingem) en gedecentraliseerd wonen (in Gavere, Dikkelvenne, Merelbeke, Zottegem en Melle) aan.
