Hello We are Whitby Wood, a creative team of structural engineers, working with fantastic clients and visionary architects on imaginative ambitious schemes. We are independent and London-based, with an associate practice in Mumbai, and we design buildings, bridges and masterplans. Our projects are local, regional and international, and our engineers are highly experienced in the British and international construction industries. Collectively and individually, we have pioneered a ‘positively disruptive’ approach to engineering, developed through the successful delivery of a wide range of work — from civic, cultural, commercial, airport and residential buildings to urban masterplans, public infrastructure and aeroplane design. This approach is founded on careful analysis and intelligent response. We analyse the use, physical context and client drivers for each project, and explore and test responses to the proposed architectural form. From this we develop the engineering armature that makes dreams buildable and provides best value, whatever the scale of a project.
