Our super-wide string spacing allows the tennis ball to sink deep between the strings, creating a vice-grip effect. It is this extreme bite that generates our voracious spin! The effect is compounded by our extra thick, hexagonal-shaped string. Our main strings are spaced further apart at the bottom. This means that the surface tension of the string bed is 12-25 pounds less than the strung tension. It's this lower surface tension that super-energizes the strings, and the reason why Vortex racquets generate so much power. To increase power even more, all our racquets are extended length, light weight and balanced head light.
