I completed my masters in Physics Eng. with a project based on the quality and power improvement of a sun-pumped solid state laser, which led to the elaboration of a scientific article. The work done in the scope of this project yield advanced solar laser output performance, using components designed using AutoCAD. Analysis was done through ZEMAX and LASCAD. 2008 - 12º INOV/Contacto, which led me to work as a full time trainee for Rotacional Aerospace Tech. based in the European Space Agency (ESA) / European Space research and Technology Center (ESTEC) (Noordwijk, The Netherlands). Areas of activity: from business related tasks to optical design and development of a product prototype which included ZEMAX sequential ray-tracing and SolidWorks. 2009 - European Space Agency, Young Graduate Trainee (YGT). Working on Laser Induced Damage Threshold (LIDT) testing and characterization and endurance testing of Laser Diodes (LD). This work included: •Laser induced damage and metrology of measurement process. •Automated testing control design and testing (Labview). 2010 - Master’s degree in Space Studies at the International Space University (Strasbourg, France). This master is characterized as a broad-based educational program that encompasses all disciplines relevant to space: scientific, engineering, economic, regulatory, political and organizational with a multi-dimensional perspective and special emphasis in working in multi-cultural teams. 2012 - Eng. position for EuroEngineering in ASTRIUM Space Transportation (Friedrichshafen, Germany) and 2013 - Eng. Position for Airbus Defense & Space. working in the Electro-Magnetic Levitator (EML) project (ISS payload). Main activities included: project control, systems engineering, testing activities of system and subsystem and ground operation support.
