My professional background in the banking/mortgage industry extended over twelve years and spanned the industry with positions in mortgage reconciliation for a major midwest mortgage company, internal loan management for a national banking institution, and supporting the mortgage securitization business of an elite Wall Street firm. My time at Lehman Brothers was the most enriching and educational experience of my career. I was exposed to the interrelated mechanisms of a complex institution, while being humbled by what can happen to an institution that does not appreciate the risks it incurs. It was a difficult lesson to learn, as the repercussions of what happened at Lehman spread through the banking/mortgage industry and the economy as a whole; however, I am a better professional, as well as a better person, for having had the experience. After Lehman, I decided to embark on a career in gaming. Over the past three-plus years, I have had the opportunity to work for a mid-size firm, a start-up firm, and as a Manager with Ez Pawn, a well regarded market leader in the specialty consumer finance industry dedicated to satysfing the short-term cash consumer. While these experiences have further developed by relationship management skills, legislative delays in Springfield have caused uncertainty in business prospects.
