We are a not-for-profit environmental charity based right in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne, with an award-winning, environmentally friendly building. On site we have pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, lizards, tortoises, gardens, meadows, ponds and woodlands. As well as being a visitor attraction, we also offer training for vulnerable adults, volunteering opportunities for local people and a range of activities for families and schoolchildren​. Our nearby workshop provides some of these training opportunities and our pre-loved warehouse diverts unwanted furniture from landfill, in keeping with our sustainable ethos. If you're hoping to grab some food whilst you visit us, be sure to make a pit-stop in our gorgeous cafe. OUR MANTRA: This is a place for growing. Plants, fruit and veg, animals, but most of all, people. We cultivate joy here. And learning. We nurture self-confidence and a sense of belonging. You'll feel it as soon as you walk through our door. Lives are being enriched. Needs are being nourished. It couldn't happen without our volunteers. Or your donations. We're a charity. Run for people, not profits.
