When it comes to romantic mountain marriages, there’s no better setting than Nantahala Weddings & Events, a premier wedding venue nestled in the Nantahala National Forest. We specialize in unforgettable celebrations that capitalize on Nantahala’s natural beauty and your unique style, leaving you and your guests with memories you’ll treasure forever. Unique and affordable! No mandatory end time! No noise restrictions! Location We are a destination wedding location with a focus on nature. The lake, mountains, river, and waterfalls provide a wide variety of activities for your guests – boating, swimming, whitewater rafting, hiking, and fishing – as well as spectacular wedding photo opportunities. The Venue Our venue has the serenity of a private park, so little decorating is needed to make it sparkle. We focus on simplicity by providing everything you need in one low price with the exception of lodging, flowers, food, and beverages. Hire our day of wedding coordinator to orchestrate your perfect wedding. We only book one wedding per weekend, so you can have the ultimate, stress-free wedding: take your time decorating the day before so you can relax the day of your wedding. No need to hustle to take down your decorations because you can pick them up the next morning. The Ceremony Take your vows in our outdoor ceremony chapel on the venue grounds, just a few hundred feet from Lake Nantahala, or on Wayah Bald on the Appalachian Trail at over 5,300 feet elevation (just 11 miles from the venue). Season Our venue is at 3,000 feet, where humidity is very low and temperatures are 10-15 degrees lower than temps in the surrounding area: high 60s to low 70s in late April and May, mid-70s in June, high 70s to low 80s in July and August, and back into the 60s to low 70s in September and October. That means perfect temps for summer weddings. It also means early April and November can bring chilly weather, which is why our season runs from late April thru the end of October.
