Overview
NOPEC (Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council) is a non-profit consortium of over 225 Ohio communities that negotiates lower utility rates. As Ohio's largest energy aggregator, NOPEC buys gas and electricity in bulk to help lower its members' utility bills. We advocate for our members at the state level in legislative and regulatory matters. NOPEC also provides grants and loans to its member communities to help fund local energy-efficient improvements. Since 2001, we have saved our residents and businesses over $300 million and have rewarded over $22 million in community grants.
