Rocky Mountain region comprised by acquisitions in the Big Horn, Wind River and Powder River Basins in Wyoming largely consisting of mature oil wells with a natural water drive producing primarily from the Dinwoody-Phosphoria, Tensleep and Minnelusa formations. Legacy Reserves focused on the acquisition and development of oil and natural gas properties primarily located in the Permian Basin. Legacy Reserves LP operates as an energy company. Legacy Reserves was formed in 2005 to own and operate the oil and natural gas properties that it acquired from the Moriah Group, the Brothers Group, and MBN Properties.
