Why we need your support How we make a difference Young people of all abilities gain a huge boost in confidence from taking part in sailing and water sports. It's a transformative experience that starts them on the road to independence and achievement. What we do We work directly with schools, which means that our activities are accessible to children from all backgrounds. Schools contribute a small percentage of the actual cost of lessons and the Trust fundraises for the shortfall from grants and donations. Our activities are geared to each young person's ability: whether that is learning to sail or race single-handed, kayaking or rowing on the water. We stretch and encourage all the children that come to us. In recent years we have built relationships with schools for young people with special educational needs and disabilities and have seen from the smiles on the children's faces, the incredible difference that being outdoors on the water makes. How you can support us We are growing! We have exciting plans to create a national centre of excellence for water sports at Trevassack Lake on the Lizard Peninsula, enabling us to provide even more activities adapted for young people with additional needs and disabilities. We need your support to carry on giving valuable, life-changing experiences for the children taking part. To donate, see www.hrcst.org.uk/donations or phone 01326 702326.
