"Heartland Co-op is a farmer owned cooperative with people and facilities in more than seventy communities throughout Iowa. We provide products and services to local farmers in many commodity and product areas including Grain, Agronomy, Seed, Petroleum and Feed. All of these areas of service require a wide variety of skilled people to assist in our goal achievements." Heartland Co-operative offers agronomy services. The Company provides services in the areas of grain handling and marketing, fertilizers and applications, agriculture chemicals and applications, livestock feed and processing, agriculture energy products, and propane. Headquartered in West Des Moines, Heartland was formed in 1987 when cooperatives in Dallas Center, Minburn and Panora merged. There have been some 13 subsequent mergers that have seen Heartland grow to become a 4,500-member agricultural cooperative. Heartland Co-op has no need to go against the grain.
