The factory produces peanut-based Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food for treatment of severe acute malnutrition. As a production site, it is strategically important as Cape Town is Africa's strongest economy and represents the main producer of consumer goods. The location is also close to the consumer market. Raw materials are readily available and logistics are good. Cape Town has a stable climate and is close to major sea- and airport.
