We develop high-performance hybrid rocket engines that have the efficiency and reliability of a liquid bi-propellant engine, but retain the safety and simplicity of a hybrid engine. Our Armstrong 25k rocket engine produces 25,000 lbf of thrust, can be custom designed in 4 to 6 months, has only 12 parts, cost 20% of other high performance engines, and will not detonate. We are making space transportation safe, reliable, and affordable. Intellectual Property Firehawk’s intellectual property portfolio for this new art includes three awarded U.S. utility patents: - Solid Fuel Grain for a Hybrid Propulsion System of a Rocket and Method for Manufacturing Same, U.S. Patent 9,453,479 (Issued Sep. 27, 2017) - Additive Manufactured Thermoplastic-Aluminum Nanocomposite Hybrid Rocket Fuel Grain and Method of Manufacturing Same, U.S. Patent 9,822,045 (Issued Nov. 21, 2017) - Persistent Vortex Generating High Regression Rate Solid Fuel Grain for a Hybrid Rocket Engine and Method for Manufacturing Same, U.S. Patent 9,890,091 (Issued Feb. 13, 2018) - Persistent vortex generating high regression rate solid fuel grain for a hybrid rocket engine U.S. Patent 10,309,346 (Continuation-In-Part Patent No. 9,890,091) - Additive manufactured thermoplastic-nanocomposite aluminum hybrid rocket fuel grain and method of manufacturing U.S. Patent 10,286,599 (Continuation-In-Part Patent No. 9,822,045) Firehawk Aerospace is a veteran-owned rocket engine manufacturer.
