I had a great time in the Simkunghaus. The rooms were clean and had every facility needed. The location is good, especially if you go to the Sungkyunkwan university! I would definitely visit again if I am in the neighborhood.
I have stayed here for little under 4 months, and it was great! - Very close to public transport (bus, underground etc) - Just 4 minutes away from Sungkyunkwan University, if not less - Very peacefull and quiet environment - Well maintained and clean building with proper amenities - Rooms are very compact, but perfect for those who spend most of their time outside - Amazing owner! A very generous person, pretty responsive & helpfull. Is also a big fan of chimaek...take him out for dinner! - Grocery stores, bakery, etc. within 2 minutes from your home Gamawo!
Stayed there for 4 months in 2019, it was terrible I do not recommand. Other goshiwons are much better, do not choose this one
Clean rooms, useful facilities and friendly staff. Especially I would like to recommend you a comfortable private room. The cost was very attractive. ️ *Wi-Fi was also very fast
We stayed there with a group of friends for 4 months and it was terrible, there are other Goshiwon in the neighborhood (eg: Modern House), please go there and do not go to Simkunghaus it was terrible. We arrived in January and were supposed to have heated floors as stated on their website, but it was not the case and they kept saying they did not have it. We had to show them their own website to prove that they said they had it, and they turned it on the next day which shows how much bad faith they have. Besides, many rooms were extremely cold as they did not have the heating on all the time and the isolation was bad. Their wifi is really bad, many rooms do not receive it well (a webpage like facebook took more than 1 minute to open) and I had to use the public wifi (which is hence not secured) during the 4 months of my stay. I once came home and I found all my bedding (sheets, pillows, blankets, ...etc) in the public hallway ON THE FLOOR because they decided the morning that they were going to change my bed, which they did despite the fact that I was not there and that my door was locked. There are about 45/50 people living at Simkunghaus, and the kitchen is ridicully small and only has 1 heating plate that all the residents share, which makes cooking a pain. Oh and the so called food that they have available is just small condiments that absolutely do not make a meal Rooms are smaller than in other Goshiwon, they make foreigners pay more. One friend had paid for a outer window, and it happens that the outer window was in her bathroom not her room and they refused to make her pay the price of an inner window room. I forgot one pile of clothe when I moved and they kept saying they did not have it and I never got them back but I am 100% sure I left it there, which shows again how much they do not want to help. I could go on forever, but just please do not go there and select another goshiwon
코로나때문에 휴학하면서 2020년 7월부터 약 반년간 살았었는데 사장님도 너무 친절하시고 방도 깨끗하고 소음도 적고 좋았습니다. 화장실도 방안에 구비돼있어서 공용이 아니라 청결에 신경쓸수 있어서 더욱 좋았네요. 간단한 끼니는 부엌에서 챙겨먹을수 있어서 식비 절약에도 도움이 됐습니다 잘 지내다가 갑니다!
2년전 이 고시원을 방문했을때 사장님께서 타지생활을 해주는 제게 참 잘해주신 기억이 있습니다. The owner is gentleman 이곳은 성대에서 매우 가까워요. This location is so close to SKKU 그리고 무료로 제공되는 반찬이 너무 맛나고 좋았어요. There are the free side foods tasted good! 다시 성대에서 오프라인 수업을 한다면 이곳에 다시 갈거에요. I recommend here to foreigner.
