Skip oro d’etna and go to this museum/tasting! Very kindly opened up for us with no apppointment and showed us the beehive and all about the bees and old ways of making honey. We then tasted and it was delicious- would recommend.

We were a group and listened to a half hour presentation about honey and the challenges in modern day. I recommend organizing this for a small group with tasting.

Es ist ein sehr kleines Museum, aber alle Ausstellungsstücke sind echt und aus Familienbesitz. Das Museum zeigt das Imkereihandwerk ab ca. 1920. Zwei Räume einer typischen damaligen Wohnung können besichtigt werden. Der Imker führt selbst durchs Museum. Am Ende der Führung kann man ziemlich abgefahrene Honigsorten probieren (und kaufen). Besonders empfehlenswert sind der Erdbeerhonig und der Mandarinenhonig, beide mit Fruchtanteil. Aber auch Pfeffer- und Mandelhonig sind außergewöhnlich.
