Definitely the best tonkatsu I’ve ever had. The quality of the pork was exceptional. Crunchy yet juicy. I put on the wrong sauce, but the staff was very friendly and patient and taught me the right combo of sauce and meat, making sure I wasn’t too embarrassed.
The meat was moist and flavorful, the miso soup had a few root veggies in it and was a nice stock, the people were very nice and didn't mind my broken Japanese a bit. The menu is on the wall; lunch on top, dinner on the bottom. The lunch menu is simple, standard pork 1200, \better\ pork 1300, beef roast 1900. I had the standard portion of pork, it was melt in your mouth delicious. I have eaten at a few tonkatsu places in my week here. This one was by far the best. There is usually a line when it first opens, worth the wait.
Possibly the best tonkatsu in Japan...
