Tamales are a funny thing.....there are a lot of mediocre tamales out there, but good tamales are hard to find. Great tamales are even less common.....unless you live in Yakima! Los Hernandez tamales have long been a staple in the area, but now they're even more accessible for those of us living on the West End of town. These are some of the best tamales in the world. If you don't believe me, just check out the James Beard award that they won for their tamales! Their lunch specials run around 7 for a couple tamales with rice and beans. If you've never tried it, stop then and give it a go!
