If I could I would give this place a 0 stars I had food from there yesterday my husband kindly bought us food back the chicken I had was PINK it was RAW I see a lot of comments with people explaining the same thing that the chicken is raw this place needs to be shut down it is disgusting you are trying to kill people with raw chicken! BEWARE OF THIS CHIPPY

Firstly, i want to say that up until December, the food was great even though albeit the prices were too high. recently, i went to chip stop fir a meal for me and my 2 kids. i ordered a large chips and a southern fried chicken piece and a kids nugget meal. the chips were very hard and once bitten quite dry for 2.80. i could've bought a bag of potatoes and made way more chips that are way fresher than what i experienced. now the nuggets were terrible. they were slightly pink inside and cold through but i pout this down to the amount of people waiting to be served and the rush they are all in. the southern fried chicken was 60 percent black fatty bits 30 percent bone and 10 percent chicken and 3.50 again i could buy a good quality 2-3 pieces that i can guarantee are not fatty and bone. i have a busy life as a care worker and i don't need the added stress of paying almost 10 pound for a meal that is cold, fatty and raw. the arrogance of the staff when i tried to get a refund. they obviously are in it for the profit not the customer service. i'm appalled at the sheer lack of care for anything and wont be paying your overpriced prices any more. you have lost a valued customer because of the obvious pound signs in your faces
Abominably rude. AVOID. Have just been here. It is my local chip shop and although I am not a frequent visitor I always go here if I fancy fish and chips. The food has always been fine. However, after tonight never again. Two people in shop and one outside all of whom had been served and were waiting orders to be prepared. Four or five members of staff, including I believe the owner. No one waiting to be served. I stood at the counter for about 7 minutes with no acknowledgement whatsoever. You know the experience. - the waiter in the restaurant who knows you are there and will not catch your eye under any circumstances even though they are perfectly well aware of your presence. All it takes is a polite \I will be with you in just a few minutes\, which none of the five could be bothered to do. So I walked out. If you cannot be bothered to acknowledge me or take three seconds to be polite, I can't be bothered to come to your shop again. And don't worry, I will tell lots of people about my experience. When you take customers for granted, it is time to shut up shop.
Superb fish and chips. The battered chips are just something else and beat others that I have tried. The owners and their team are equally great. Friendly and welcoming. Would recommend.
Ordered from the web site which I normally do every week. Every week I say never again but I thought I would give them one more chance what a mistake ! After waiting for 2 hours I called the shop to see were my food was only to be greeted by a very rude member off staff telling me that she had my food sitting in front of her but no driver to bring it and I would just have to wait. It’s now been over 2 hours and ive received rotten cold chips AS A LOCAL GUIDE I'VE NEVER SEEN SUCH APPALLING SERVICE IN MY ENTIRE TIME AS A GUIDE DO NOT RECOMMEND. Please go somewhere like a good quality british fish and chips not some randomers trying their chances with the customers below are photos of proper chip shops i personally like
