We had dinner at this wonderful small and unpretentious restaurant on 16/9/20. The covid-19 precautions and service were very good. The smoked mackerel, fennel & cucumber starter was delicately combined to be very light and tasty. The star of the show was the exceptional ravioli with ricotta, pumpkin, squash, two types of buttery greens and an exquisite butternut sauce, which showed the chef's skill with subtle, dark and warm flavours set off by gently pickled carrot slices and roasted pumpkins seeds. The desserts we chose were baked egg custard cream with berry compote & gingerbread ice cream, and the treacle tart with clotted cream and raspberries. Imagine the best of all those natural flavours with no undue sweetness and you will know how full of quality they were.

This was our first visit to Ditto after it was recommended and is usually booked. Managed to get a table and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and surprising, exceptional quality and cooked to perfection. We're hoping we can visit again soon when next in Whitby.
Excellent food. Wonderful staff. Not surprised its top restaurant in Whitby. Highly recommended. Michelin, this place deserves a star at least!!
Amazing quality food as always. So happy we got to sample the lovely little restaurant again this year - can't wait to revisit next year, all being well!
