*Do NOT believe what the salesman said when they try to sell you the service at your door, because they will manipulate with the contract, so make sure to read the contract as it can be completely different from what the salesman told you!!! I signed the contract with Hawx in June when their salesman came to my place to advertise their service. My contract with another pest control company just ended and Hawx offered a cheaper quarterly charge (89 compared to 110 with my previous pest control company) so I decided to give it a try. The sales person told me that they will provide a quarterly service, In addition, after the first service, they will do a follow-up service a month after to make sure everything works well, which is a bonus and it is completely free. However, they actually charged me 89 again for the one-month follow-up service. I called (which they put me on hold for more than 15min) to ask but they just replied my this is what said in your contract. I admit I should read the contract more carefully, but this is so unprofessional that the salesman told you completely in the opposite way! And who would need 2 pest control services in one month??? So other customers, when they try to sell you the service, just to be careful and read carefully with the contract. They might have a lower quarterly service fee compared to other pest control service but they will charge 5 times a year! Yes, they will charge you twice in the first month because the first service is an \initial\ service and is not counted as \first quarter\.

Mark came today (8/25) to follow up on treating a ground bees nest. The previous treatment a week ago was not adequate. Mark also commented that the spider webs around the front entryway were not cleaned up as they should have been and he performed that service. I want to request Mark for all my future service calls. He did a great job and was friendly. I give HIM 5 stars. I give the previous Hawx service person here maybe 2 stars. He did an incomplete job.

This google rating has been manipulated by Hawx. They are deleting the negative reviews of their ineffective product and poor service to increase their rating. Please visit Yelp for more accurate information. Please also warn your elderly neighbors as they are targets of this scam. Update 6/3/2020 Yes you can delete google reviews, and not just pertaining to current or former employees. Bottom line, yelp has the more honest rating in this case. The product didn't work and the employees visiting the house did not complete the service as described when purchased. When I called I was told my only options were to buy out the contract or let the services continue until the contract ended. There was no consideration taken when I reported the fact that we actually had in increase of spiders and ants in our home after each service. Buying out the contract would mean spending even more money, and as no other options were presented by your company I was focused to wait until the contract ended. After the last employee visited the home, I called to make sure you would not charge my credit card any further. All of your replies to google reviews recommend that the consumer give you a call, however it it my experienced opinion that calling is ineffective. Hence the motivation for writing my own review.
