I have been to BlueWater about eight times - with my husband, with my wider family, and with friends. On each occasion I have left very happy with my experience. The food is consistently good and offers excellent value for money. The wine selection is just right - not extensive, but well-chosen and not expensive. On an early occasion the receptionist was gruff and not very welcoming. This has been addressed. When you enter the decor feels a little dark, but this is just the interior paling against the outlook which is stunning. On one occasion (our wedding anniversary) we met the owner and received stunning service. He even downloaded and played our favourite piece of music. I think BlueWater is a rising star - overcoming the hangover of previous operators on the site and growing to befit the location. Definitely a place to visit.
Beautiful food, great service from the staff I was not disappointed with anything. We came here last year and was so disappointed with the food and staff... Food was horrible and the staff were really bad so we left never to return. But then this year my friends said that the rude South Africa guy had left.. So we decide to try again, I must say staff over the last couple of months are way better then at the start of the year and so is the food way way better. So well done BlueWater for bring me and my friends and family back, THANK YOU.
Had to wait more than one and a half hours for my order. The whole other restaurant were enjoying their meals while we were still waiting. Definitely not coming back.
Have just returned from this restaurant expecting a great meal due to its iconic location and history. I have never been so disappointed, this is my first restaurant review as I usually find meals to be average or above however the meals of all 7 guests were so far below average I couldn't not share our experience. All menu options we ordered were relatively small, appeared like they were prepared in a food fight and most importantly tasted like nothing more than cheap backstreet takeaway food. I do hope this was a one off chef in training or nightmare night situation for the sake of peoples tastebuds and stomachs more than anything. Overall horrible food, average service but the view was as normal, nice of the ocean. Dine somewhere different.....
Amazing views. Staff and ambience needs a bit of polish
We took our girls out for a special dinner and decided on the Blue water, I was shocked to be told after we were seated and drinks delivered that none of the vege stated on the menu were available only chips !, seriously disappointed the meal prices were not adjusted and were certainly not value for money. Also the pork on the menu was totally different to what was being served. I just wanted to walk out but didnt want to ruin everyones evening.This is the first review I have ever done I was so wild.
Amazing views and the service has been great despite what we read in previous reviews. Friendly French staff that remember your order and go out of their way to help.
