We originally intended to only go for a few hours to try gold panning for the first time. Dave and Barb are truly amazing and did a great job introducing the kids and I to gold panning. Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to stay a few nights and found the little community at Eagle City Park to be awesome! Bob is a fantastic host and we hope to go back next month.

Our family has been wanting to try gold panning for years. We took a quick day trip from Spokane WA to check Eagle City Park out. Bob and his wife were incredible kind and welcoming. We felt like we were visiting our aunt and uncle’s house, not a tourist attraction or park. You can come for a day of gold panning or even dry camp all week for very low rates. Dogs and kids are welcome, pack it in, pack it out. Our guide Dave was awesome in carrying our gear to the claim and gave us great tips on how gold may have been deposited hundreds of years ago in order to know where to start. 12/10 recommend!

We had a wonderful time at the park. The camping was great with a large camping space and at a great price. There were many things to do: the trails were great to ride on and the food in the neighboring towns was very good. We will be back to camp and try to find some of that yellow rock.
