Tried the breakfast and it was truly genuine. The masala dosa was simple but tasted great. Good ambiance. Coffee/ tea served was fresh as well.

Goli bajji ...the famous and the most wanted..was served hot .Tiny ,cramped restaurant and crowded always .All their tiffin dishes taste good. Kesaribath,mini idli and vadas , everything tastes yum. However their chutneys can be made little less spicy. Alu palya quantity can be improved in their masala dosas.krishna matha and mitra samaj goes together always . Satish Bhat is one senior waiter who does a wonderful job .

This was on my list way before I stepped in Udupi. It's a very small joint, maybe run over the years. The things that are run for decades, don't tend to change very often and this eatery is no exception to that. It looks like a very old eatery. It's cozy though. Other reviewers are saying they were served hot water here, but I was not served any water. But I am not here to review their water delivery. I ordered the one and only world famous Udupi dish, Idli Vada Sambhar - Sambhar Mix and a bun to go with that. To me, this place won when they asked me if I wanted some extra Sambhar. The uncle who was waiting my table was very elderly, but very efficient (Mental note to ask his name tomorrow). The bun was so tasty that all the superlatives are insufficient. It was spongy, porous, sweet and savoury as it should be. It was served with chutney, but I personally thought it tasted even more tasty with the leftover Sambhar from the Idli Vada Sambhar. Taste of Udupi special Sambhar powder was very evident in the Sambhar and I think almost all the foodies have unanimously agreed to the fact that their Sambhar is super tasty. Of course, I am going to visit this place again tomorrow before I head to Padubidri. Do visit this place once guys. If not anything, try their buns. You will not be disappointed.

If you are looking for authentic Udupi style food this is the place to visit. Coconut Chutney they provide has district flavour even the sambar tastes very good. They also provide kashaya not too during not too light perfect with spices. Would love to visit and recommend this place to anyone visiting Udupi Krishna mutt.

This is the second visit to this place in about 5 years. The quality of food and service still remains the same. Vegetarians will love this place.

Perfect place if you like delicious food and hate waiting for it/are in a hurry. Also ambience, hygiene aren't at the top of your list. They barely take 5 mins to prepare your food and the taste is always amazing in my experience. Masala dosa is definitely a must try, too good!
