Very disappointing. Customer service was very poor. Having to sit upstairs ..not an issue ,although somewhat lacking in atmosphere. Seats downstairs already being occupied by ladies knitting group. We ordered coffee scone and bacon roll nothing too challenging . 3 trips later given the whole scone order...trip 1..no sugar...trip 2 ..no cream ...coffee tepid Meanwhile still waiting on bacon roll! Obviously forgotten..reordered ..by the time bacon roll arrived coffee finished. Observing the 2 young people working it seemed there was no obvious organisation..lack of communication and rather little or no common sense. On a positive note Gift shop has some nice unique and interesting items as well as beautiful children's books.

Great coffee and a deliciously colourful take on a BLT for lunch. The shop is full of fascinating books and marvellous objects to browse. Well worth a (regular) vist!
