This restaurant is a great example of original fusion dishes/cooking. NepaleseAmerican combination was made to perfection. The spices, flavours, colors of the food are beautiful. Presentation of food is also very well done. I can't forget the Dal Bhat dish from my head even after 3 years since I tried it. Definitely worth the extra drive to little North Milwaukee if you really want to try something new.

Oh my.........what a wonderful experience! My wife and i chose this place for two reasons. 1......it was our 30 year anniversary and I wanted to go somewhere unique. After speaking with the woman while making our reservation, she indicated that the food was made from family recipes and they were from the Himalayas. 2.........Never had Himalayan food. Whereas the service was a little slow the expierence was very memorable for my wife and I. A must go to. (Thank you for the small gift you gave my wife! BONUS!)

This place is fabulous! Some of the most creative and tasty dishes you'll find in the Midwest. The mix of Nepalese and Himalayan cuisine is truly a unique treat, all inspired by Nepal native Chef Barkha, who is an inspired entrepreneur. You have to try it!

I'm going to miss dining at the Cheel. The food is so unique and delicious my wife and I can't wait until they rebuild. Until then we've been enjoying their unique Taco flavors @ Daily Taco.

Came to The Cheel on the 29th for dinner. Excellent outdoor setup for dining with a great band playing in the background. We had 4 in our party, all dishes were well presented and telling by everyones silence food was delicious. Combo of a chicken sandwich, ribs, smoked chicken thighs, and the wild boar special. I personally had the wild boar that was on special that night. Cool presentation, all the sides were excellent, especially the sauces! Only disappointment was the boar itself. The boar was definitely plated early as it was cool and somewhat dry when i got it, the bread/tortilla it was served with was also rather soggy from sitting. For 35 the deliciousness/value/wow factor was a little lacking on that one item, especially for a weekend night special. End of the day, definitely will be back. The menu is very intriguing and I look forward to trying more.

Absolutely Fantastic! Great filet, great boar, owner greeted us at the door then wiped down our table and talked with us. Server was sweet and the food was fantastic. It's been a while since I had such a great meal. The only I would want is a little more wine in my glass.

Fun atmosphere, excellent food tastes and quality. Would go there tonight if I could. Unfortunately the landmark building/Cheel burned down, can't wait for the Cheel to rebuild! Got a taste for boar!

Excellent food & service. Both the bartender & bar manager (Drew) were very friendly and attentive (we ate at the bar-very cozy). First time there-I plan on returning soon!
