Loved the details.
Found on the main street opposite the statue of Kennedy in an odd looking building but well worth the trip through the door. Ear phones guide you through the Norman history of New Ross as you move from one scene in tapestry to the next, about 15 in all although on our visit one was being shown elsewhere. The tapestry room is downstairs and the working room upstairs. Very interesting and if in New Ross why not call in for a visit.
Interesting project. Completion of some of the tapestries took years...well presented with audio commentaries. Well worth a visit.
Beautiful work but premises very confined for such magnificent panels.
Everywhere says it closes at 4 on sundays, so i came for a visit on 12 jan 2020, Sunday. Sign on door says it closes at 3 on Sundays.
A most visit for anyone visting this Area A series of handmade Tapestrys depicting the area during Norman times
This is so worth a visit. The guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the tapestries. The tapestries were amazing and I felt really inspired to have a go myself and I'm certainly no needle woman! Beautiful depiction of Irish history/ folklore
