Entrance is via small gate just before you get our of Medina via Bab Mkabar, on right side, but there is also other entrance. Tanneries are not so colorful and big like in famous Chouara tanneries in Fes, but the smell is the same. It seems they use it occasionally, mainly for first stages of leather processing. Only few coloring holes are in use. Lot of leather cuts and other organic garbage is thrown behind the walls of the old city. Still worth to see this hard work live.
