Hidden gem... with a caution flag. I was originally thrilled to find this park. It's a wild place with trees and walking trails/boardwalk centrally located right in the middle of a residential area. There is a playground and fields with parking on the west side of the park. On the east side there is a lake. The two areas are connected by a trail with boardwalk. Notes: There's no loop on the trail within the park itself. If you walk it in one direction from the parking lot it ends at the far side of the lake. You can make it a loop but it will involve walking across the grass and down the sidewalk. Not the greatest for small kids/strollers. Also, the other reason it didn't get 5 stars is a little sensitive. As a woman, I was a bit cautious walking around by myself. There's not a lot of folks around. Going during off hour in the morning, I've encountered men sleeping on benches and in the woods. Most have been fine, but I have twice run into people on the path that were less than friendly, like I was walking through their bedroom and invading their privacy, so ladies be aware of your surroundings.

I only ever catch tiny bluegill, but I bet there's some good size catfish in there.
Beautiful view although I didn't catch any fish. Another guy was there and said he caught a small one. Not good for CATCHING fish but good to cast out and practice
Just a very relaxing place to go look at the water. Some people are fishing, other people are walking through nearby Tacoma Trail. It's very relaxing and peaceful. It gives you an opportunity to get away from the traffic, the children at home, and the noise of work and just relax for a few moments. The birds look at you as if you have something for them but of course you're not supposed to feed the wildlife. I have not seen an alligator there yet but of course they any water in Florida is bound to have them.
Nice and relaxing
