Wandered in for a late lunch and got some tasty bowls... Sauce hurts the crispiness of the meat but the a la carte options made up for it. We probably waited a bit longer than we typically do at a Japanese fast casual place.

We found this cosy little place by chance. The establishment is over 100 years old and now run by the 4 th generation of 2 brothers. The tempura is fried right in front of you and it’s very tasty and fresh. We ate the superior lunch menu and I think it is good value for money. There is no dipping sauce, instead we were given 5 flavored salts which brought out the natural flavors of the tempura. I would come back here again.

We found this excellent tempura restaurant, apparently recommended by the Michelin Guide by chance Very cosy tiny restaurant with tempura fried by the chef right in front of you. We bought the seasonal lunch set. One of the best tempura I've had. Very light and crisp batter which didn't feel at all greasy. Served with 5 unique salt for flavoring rather than a tempura dipping sauce. I found the salts unique and interesting but also found myself missing dipping sauce. Very polite service. The waiter (one of the brothers) patiently explained everything to us in English and it was a wonderful experience.
