I took the children I watch (aged 3&4) out for a scavenger hunt. The boardwalk was well kept and clearly marked. There were places to rest and relax, and it was all flat which was great for us all. We were able to see lots of animals and personally we did not see any snakes although I'm sure you could on the right day. They have a free little library filled with books and a nice pavilion for lunch. It's also very close to Spring Creek park and is easily accessible via bike path.

Millbrook Marsh Nature Center is such a unique spot in State College. With trails for days to walk, nature to explore, you can even bring your kitten for a photoshoot! We DJ'd a wedding back in 2019 - there is a beautiful location for ceremonies and a barn for the reception.

Such a beautiful area. Ive been there twice now and loved it. I wish the boardwalk was completely open as their renovating a section of it. I love how it connects to multiple trails and bike paths. Highly recommend it!

We didn't go inside any structures, just walked the paths. The views of the creek and plant life was nice. The water was so clear, on this hot day it was very tempting. Since it was midday and very hot, we didn't see much wildlife. A few startled birds and one water snake. But, it was a nice easy walk and I'll not only recommend this place to my friends and family, I'll will come back myself.

When they say nature center, they mean NATURE center. Within the span of 2 minutes, we had ran into a deer, flock of ducks, and a black bear! The raised boardwalks are well maintained and make walking the marsh very easy. Would definitely recommend a visit as it can be easily accessed from any of the surrounding walkways and bike paths.
