beautiful grounds, the garden looked very tidy and when I visited the flowers were blooming looked like a fairy place.

It's a church and often visited on a Sunday although rarely by me but recently the Round Table of Bishop’s Stortford & Stansted held a Gin and Beer Festival in the church grounds and, as the weather changed, in the church hall. It was the Festival that I attended and it was good.

The relatively modern building was commissioned as the Church of St Mary was a mile outside the village and also in need of repairs. It was consecrated in 1889 by the bishop of St Albans. The church is heated and very welcoming.
