I was here too. Magnificent is the word best described it. The church golden domed could be seen from distance. The church has a large square at it front and inside is adorned with beautiful classical paintings. Even if one is not a Christian, it is place to visit to pictures and admire architecture master piece.

Wonderful place. Architecturally beautiful and renovated building complex. It's nice to see a religious building in good condition and pleasing to the eye. Located in the very center. Close to other tourist attractive places. Very close to Київський фунікулер and then to the metro station Поштова площа (blue metro line). The same road to the Dnieper River.
Beautiful and unique Building. Impressive piece of Architecture. The soft pastel blue colour of the building illuminated in the sun. Definitely worth a visit.
On bluffs over the right bank of the Dnieper, this working monastery dates from the 12th century and boasts a multi-domed cathedral and a bell tower. The exterior architecture is from the middle of the 18th century and in an elaborate Baroque style, but the interior of the cathedral kept hold of its Byzantine design. Sadly the building was torn down in the Soviet era when its art was moved to Moscow, but it would be reborn 70 years later. Come by to see the sky blue walls capped with shining domes and the majestic view of the Knieper from the top of the bell tower. The museum on the lower floors of the bell tower records the history of the monastery and the fate suffered by other religious monuments in the Soviet era.
St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery is a functioning Orthodox monastery in honor of Archangel Michael in Kyiv, the cathedral of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. The original church was built in 1108–1113 by the grandson of Yaroslav the Wise by the Kyivan prince Sviatopolk Izyaslavych on the basis of St. Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral. Cross-domed six-pillar temple with three naves and one gilded dome. At the beginning of the XX century the church was seven-domed. It was destroyed in the 1930s and rebuilt in 1997-1998.
Impressive the religious service from last night, you have to be present to experience the powerful liturgy of old Ortodox church
This is said to have been the first church in the eastern Orthodox lands to have gilded domes, hence the name. It was extensively remodelled in the 18th century, but was demolished by the Soviets in 1934. It was restored in the 90’s after the fall of the Soviet Union. The blue walls and golden domes of the exterior are very picturesque. The interior is quite impressive as well, and it is interesting to compare the fresh paintings here with the much older paintings in the nearby St Sophia’s.
A beautiful monastery, that was newly restored. Really impressive how much was done to support the protesters during Euromaidan revolution - Ukrainians will always remember it with gratitude. Peaceful atmosphere inside and nice territory. Take a walk to the Volodymyr’s Hill from here.
