We visited in late November when obviously most flowers were past. It was still worth it - all the plants and trees are labelled and a lot of work has gone into the layout. There a lot of paths to take you through all the areas of the garden. It must really be a beautiful place in the summer and would certainly be worth a revisit.

Very good, and they're taking precautions to prevent Covid 19
Beautiful place with a wide array of plants and flowers. The forest is a lovely place to walk. I was lucky to go on a nice day. The butterfly house is filled with different sizes and colours of butterflies and caterpillars. Great couple of hours out.
University owned botanical gardens are often a showcase for the university. If that is the case then it doesn't say much for the uni. Given that the uni is relatively wealthy it is time it put some resources into this shabby, run-down, depressing apology for a garden. Badly signed, very poorly labelled, few facilities and badly maintained. Don't waste your money - if you go a few miles up the road to Dundee, you can see what a good University sponsored botanical garden should be like.
Nice range of plants and peaceful place for a walk. Lots of picnic areas for lunch. My daughter really enjoyed the autumn scavenger hunt. Saw a couple of red squirrels as well.
