I don’t normally do reviews but the owner is a real pos... I went in on a Saturday to find a part and they had to order it. Manager that was on duty helped me out and was extremely helpful and we placed the order. The manager then referred me to another store that might have had the part on hand and said if I needed to return it it would be fine so I went there. Found the part. Purchased it and was good to go. Another gal called on the following Tuesday saying my order was being processed and should be in Monday and I asked if I could cancel it, I went into the store to cancel my order cause it had not been processed yet and the owner helped me. After all said and done he says “okay you can leave my store now. BYE” with a terrible attitude and even the employees were shocked with his rude attitude saying “wow” and laughing at how much of a attitude he had for no apparent reason. Was my only time shopping there and will definitely be my last

Excellent service in spite of terrible owner. I love my hobbies, and connecting with others of similar interest is core to most hobbies, especially mine. However, as I was making a connection and chatting with a very nice and polite employee, I was rudely interrupted in our conversation by the owner of this store. Right in front of me, the owner inserted himself into our conversation, and told the young man speaking with me in a cruel tone of voice; "Your job is to stay over there." His tone was harsh to the point, that even I was uncomfortable. I felt terrible for the young employee who was just embarrassed in front of me, and looked dejected for having been reprimanded for forming a quality connection and trying to make a sale. This completely derailed our conversation, and killed much of my interest in business there, I can not see why the owner would interrupt a sale like that. Sales are based on relationships, and in the absence of a relationship, I have options. Ever hear about Amazon? Everything we say and do sends a message, and disrespecting his employee in such a rude way, and disrespecting ME in my effort to be an informed and active customer. The message was received: I'll take my business somewhere else. Happy Holidays Mr. Scrooge.

Vary friendly helpful staff that seemed equally capable of in-depth shop talk with your RC veteran yet just as eager to switch gears and get your first time super noob get setup and headed in the right direction. Another bonus is you won't feel like they're trying to sell you something you don't want. Store is well organized even with the insane inventory they have on the newest RC products out. I scoured the internet for what I was looking for only to see out of stock or back order everywhere I looked until I stopped in to my local HobbyTown to find they had exactly what I had been looking for and more. Thanks HobbyTown for the great experience.

Terrible owner, terrible policies (wonderful employees). I wanted to love this place. I've spent over 750 here in the last few years with models, paints, and in this most recent case, a telescope my wife and kids purchased for me for Christmas. However when we found out another family member had already purchased me a telescope and didn't need two, we went to return the one we had just purchased a few days prior. To our surprise, this store doesn't offer returns... Even unopened returns! You get to choose between a gift card or in-store-credit right then and there. This telescope was upwards of 180 dollars, are nearly always sold out (so they will resell it very quickly!), and we bought the floor model which was packaged up when we purchased it. I literally opened the gift wrapped present at home, didn't even open the box, and we drove back to return it (don't need two telescopes). Between one other uncomfortable situation I had with the owner a couple years ago (he thought I was trying to hack his payment system because I was trying to use my phones Samsung pay to check out....), and this, I'll be getting all my modeling stuff on Amazon. Man we want to support local businesses! I have kids who craft, myself and the wife both craft, it is so nice to have something close. But I have to draw a line. Now I'll be forced to go spend this 180 gift card a store I don't want to support, because I simply can't burn money in front of my face. Also, I can't even imagine a family who 180 dollars means the difference between getting their kids something for Christmas, and getting them nothing, being told they can't get their money back... Devastating. Hey owner, get yourself a time machine and catch up to the year 2020. You're trying to survive online sales, not feed it.
