Very old and famous agriculture farm in West Bengal. Femous for it's good quality paddy seed production. Mustard, Kochu are also produced here. Farmers from Hooghly, Burdwan, Nadia , Howrah, 24 Paraganas come here for seed at government rate. The farm is under control of agriculture department of West Bengal government. In the year 2006 the Dhaniakhali Krishak Bazar was built on the ground of the farm. In this way the total agricultural land is reduced from its command. Here is a weather observatory centre within the area.
