Simply put, you HAVE to come here if you’re visiting Sendai. If you’re not into beef tongue, give it a try it might blow your mind. If you are, this is it, this is amazing. The seasoning is simple yet brings out so much flavor. Amazing, great deal and generous portions. Chef seems like a great dude family run. 10/10

Just grab the Gyuutan Set, a cold beer, eat slowly, and take it all in. Not too loud or quiet. Not presumptuous or tacky.

Food looks ok, rice and soup were definetly ok, but the (beef tongue) meat was chewy. Also, it seemed to be the only type of meat they sold. Now granted, I'm not a beef tongue connoisseur but this was a bit too much for me. Staff was friendly and they even had knifes and forks for poor me. Not recommended unless you love the meat.

Reservation is usually recommended but the staff were very accommodating and managed to get us a table as walk-in. The beef tongue is amazing, and the soup is delicious. A must-try.

Perhaps if you love tongue, but not for us.

Ordered the special tender ox tongue for 2750 yen, and it was amazingly tender and juicy meat. Fairly big sized portion as well, which made me full without needing to order the optional rice and miso soup set. Regular gyuton is cheaper for around 1650 yen.
