I eat tofu on a regular basis, and I came to Japan nearly every year. The meal I had today is the most expensive tofu dishes I've ever had in my entire life. Yet they are also the best ones. The restaurant's lunch course, consists of 7 dishes, is 3,000 tax. It is not in their English menu though. You'll have to ask. Because of the price, it's not something I'll eat everyday. But if you travel all the way to Kyoto - the town well known for its delicate tofu - why not give it a try? Some of the dishes are cooked right in front of you, and it's fun to watch. Staff do not speak much English but are very friendly and helpful.

Very tiny restaurant. Their course meal is excellent. The ingredients are super healthy and their Yuba meal is only available at this restaurant. Deifinitely worth visiting if you want to taste true Japanese quisine.
A perfect lunch to enjoy yuba and tofu
Who knew there were so many ways to make and eat tofu! It was expensive but incredibly interesting and definitely a new experience.
The restaurant is owned by a man who retired his job to pursue his passion for uba, tofu skin. It is cooked in various ways and you can enjoy multiple types of uba dishes. Not sure if they have English menu but a course menu is easier:) It is located pretty close to Nijo castle.
