Seawide Services maintain my mooring on the Percuil river annually. Like, I suspect, most people I had always regarded mooring service as a necessary evil, paid the bill and not given the service company too much thought provided the job's been done. I just wanted to say thank you to Jago and his crew for an extremely rapid response and their very effective help during a minor crisis earlier this year. Our mooring chain had became snagged around an ancient ground stake, putting our boat in conflict with adjacent moored vessels as well as pinning our boat down by the bow due to the drastically shortened scope and spring tides. They had a service vessel on scene within an hour of my phone call, lifted the mess, extracted the stake, relaid the chain and assisted us back on to the mooring in the minimum possible time. With a good tidal flow running, holding station and manoeuvring their sizeable lift vessel with ours alongside amongst the tight spaced adjacent moorings was by no means easy but they made it appear simple and seamless. Their prices are reasonable, their expertise obvious and their 'can do' attitude when it counted took a huge amount of pressure out of the situation. Many many thanks guys.
