Excellent museum! A must for Brussels. In the time of COVID-19, make sure that you book your visit well in advance. As for the parking there is one paid parking right next to the entrance, to the left 75 m.

This museum is really well done. Always a great experience, our (small) kids love it. And so do we!
A great place for train enthusiasts. Try the train simulator when you visit.
Although Corona measures, nice visit. Children also enjoyed very much!
The first railroad track in continental Europe was built in Belgium. Here, you can see the historical train engines and wagons, steam, diesel and electric, how tracks are laid, travel adverts through the ages etc. It was very impressive to stand next to Engine 10, it is huge. The museum is very beautiful, making full use of its space, including in the heights.
Probably the only thing the NMBS gets mostly right. A bit too crowded for COVID-times, this could have been organised better. Why on earth they saw a need to still pay two people to stand at the entrance (but actually beyond the automated ticket check) to hand you a folder is beyond me. Except, in reality, they are part of the NMBS/SNCB living exhibition of \how to make sure we run at a debt every year\ - the company's purpose in the flesh! Located in the beautiful railway station of Schaarbeek, too.
Super good museum about trains! When I went there was also a cool poster exhibition and an art exhibition. As far as I can tell it offers a lot of interactive experiences, even for kids :)
It's a lot bigger than I thought. Really enjoyable. Definitely recommended for train enthusiasts like myself. Depending on your interest, it takes 1-3 hours to visit.
