My grandson and I have been working through Myriad’s Young Musicians curriculum. He’s enjoying the music lessons immensely. He tells his Mum “it’s my favorite activity of the day!” I’m enjoying the opportunity to learn about him and to see how he learns. I appreciate the curriculum’s carefully thought-out structure. A big pleasant surprise for me is the focus on involving the whole mind and body in making music. It’s not just singing along or reading notes on a page. He’s getting a solid grounding in the human fundamentals of music, and I’m getting the opportunity to see him develop a love of music through a solid, fun curriculum. Distance learning options provided by Myriad are a close runner-up to their in-person classes, as our grandson still gets to follow Myriad’s skilled, caring teachers using a combination of weekly YouTube tutorials and personal Zoom class sharing times that are just the right length for young children. Bravo, Myriad!

Our family has been a part of this school for over 10 years. Each of our kids have benefited from the excellent teachers and the program. They learn to practice and perform with confidence. The teachers really help improve their skills and we enjoy watching them appreciate music.

I am an adult who went back to take piano lessons after decades since my last lessons as a teenager. I stayed with Myriad for 7yrs thru 3 teachers. I appreciated and liked all my instructors and their style and technique, and enjoyed (re)learning the language of music. I even did a semester or so of ukulele! I had to stop on account of adjusting to a new mortgage, but would like to return. I hope they manage to withstand this pandemic, as I'd like to return.

My daughters both attended Myriad for the last 8 years learning to hear, understand, read and play music. When my oldest decided to begin playing the flute with her school band, she began private lessons for this instrument at Myriad, as well. My girls experienced a wide variety of teaching methods and learned to prepare for and perform in structured concert situations at Myriad Music. They learned to love music in all its forms from every teacher, Teacher Marian, Teacher Justin, Teacher Jessica, Teacher Eliza and Teacher Joyce just to name a few. They were also always constantly supported by Teacher Simone at every Playing Party, Master Class, Workshop and Concert to be the best musician that they could be. I cannot expressed how much music has supported their academics, self-esteem and has given them a relaxing past time, especially while stuck at home this last month. It was a bittersweet experience going to our final Playing Party in February. Though we have moved far away from our beloved music school, I do not think my daughters will ever forget the lessons they learned and the joy music brings to their lives every day because of their experience at Myriad Music School. We hope you are all safe, healthy and well.

This place has a great, nurturing and safe environment, good teachers and very well organized. A special shoutout to Teacher Peter, who teaches piano very well and is extremely patient while we work towards achieving every new milestone.
