Who knew that we could truly engage in an African Safari experience right here in Texas. Having been to an original Kenyan safari while visiting in Nairobi, I can confirm that the experience we had at Wildlife Ranch was equally awesome. Not at all like a Zoo experience. The best part for us was when the animals came up to our vehicles and we were able to feed them straight out if our hands!! Be careful though, the naughty Ostriches will stick their heads in! What a great experience for the whole family!

At a time where we are all looking for fun social distancing activities, this place comes through. Simply put, you don’t have to get out of your car if you don’t want to. You can drive around feeding animals that you thought you would only meet if you dropped a few grand on a trip to Kenya. I am not a fan of zoos and how they keep their animals, so this place caught my interest because of how they animals can freely roam. They follow you in your car or just hang out away from you. They are sometimes curious but usually shy. I recommend going as early as possible so you can catch them out and about when they are active. Post lunch, like any creature on this planet, you will find them napping and not as interactive. Right now the opportunity to eat at the restaurant is not available but it won’t change your experience that much. Highly recommend.

Haven’t been since i as much younger... about 25 years ago. And it was much better than I remember! My family and I had a great time and the animals were everywhere! We were able to feed the animals from our truck and even had an opportunity to get out and stretch out n the middle and see the giraffes up close. Not to mention a snack bar! Highly recommend for a nice family outing!

Visited today and enjoyed it just as much as precious times. Some reviews say they couldn’t feed animals, but as of today 10/18/20, we did get a chance to feed them. Food was provided for 3 a bag to feed animals, price is reasonable and worth it. Loved feeding the animals, and perfect weather. Good family time, something that needs to be experienced. My advice go early, less people. Staff was friendly, restrooms were clean. definitely will be returning. Good place to pass family time especially during this time of social distancing.

Very nice experience! We went on a warm day in December in the morning, and so many animals were out enjoying the warm morning sun and were eating at the feeding stations near the road. The pictoral guide book gives a great history of each species seen along the way as well as an easy way to identify them. Bags of food are provided for an extra charge. Some of the animals come right up to the car for food, but most stay to themselves, but still close enough for great pictures. This was a great experience and we enjoyed it thoroughly.
