Always loved Saltburn Pier. It's one of the few Victorian Piers still left on the east coast. You can walk along the pier with your dog, and when the tide is in, you can fish off the end. Not only that, but there are the amusements at the beginning of the pier too, and the nice cliff lift opposite to get to the top of the bank.
One of the few remaining piers in this part of England. Sadly there's nothing much actually on the pier since half of it got swept away in the 1970s. Nowadays it's really a bit of a glorified fishing platform often rendered a bit mucky by fishermen chopping up bait and fish and that at the far end. The arcade at the shore end has been going donkey's years and is quite modern for such a small town. Mainly prize games though - few videogames. Bye.
A lovely pier any time of year, great views
