Went in today with my girlfriend to help her sign up for the access to HE nursing course, she signed up for the course, did the entry test and everything seemed okay, she then emailed a member of staff named karen asking about her functional skills and asking if the college could check their records to confirm she had them and that they would be applicable to the course. After sending the same email 3 times, we had still not received a reply so decided to leave it until enrollment day. When we turned up for enrollment, no one had a clue about any of this and we had to wait for over an hour just to find out if her results would be okay. It turned out that they weren't applicable after an hour an a half, she has been able to do a pre-access course but will now have to wait a year to do the HE nursing course, it was a very poor service all round and has cost both myself and my girlfriend over 3 hours worth of work. Unorganised, a few good staff fighting an abysmal management regime. Lack of planning or clarity, years old course content, poor facilities.
Ignore Owen's review. After being kicked out of several schools and ending up at the academy, he disrupted lessons, attended lessons stoned and attempted to lead other students astray. He was given more chances than he deserved and dropped out of his own accord, and tried to coerce other students to drop out with him.
Awful college, finished a floristry course about 2 years ago and still not got my folder after I’ve been chasing them up for it. They don’t even have the decency to ring you back either. They only want you to pass the course so it looks good for them. Wouldn’t bother going here.
Absolute joke of a place always going on about adult courses yet never have any spaces to go on them.
