Nice way to spend a couple of hours musing over the ancient artefacts and the beautifully preserved monastery, well worth 3.50 euros

It’s on your way to Salamis Ancient City if you are coming from Nicosia main road. Worth to visit. The building itself is alone on a big field. Monastery itself is just amazing. I loved the garden and surroundings. The Icon Museum needs a good restoration and more explanation for exhibits. There’s a little museum shop which I found it super cute. Entrance is modestly priced. I recommend it.

A very spiritual experience, especially the Chapel just across the entrance of the monastery. It's a sacred place.

A MUST SEE place in Famagusta.I expected more but it is still an adorable place. The mausoleum which the grave of the Saint is in a hand carved basment there is the best part. Also there is a cafe there and Wc(0.5 Eu). Around the yard of the church is a museum. Do not miss it also You can buy some souvenirs from a shop at your right when you enter the church.

Scenic monastery, archaeological museum, and icon museum St Barnabas monastery is located adjacent the tomb of this saint, about a mile from the ancient city of Salamis. The monastery itself is a photogenic perimeter surrounding a courtyard garden. The main church has been converted into an icon museum, showcasing several centuries of religious icons produced by local monks. Surrounding the courtyard, the former quarters now house an archaeological museum exhibiting artifacts from the nearby Enkomi dig site. St Barnabas monastery is well worth a visit if you're into Christian history, architecture, archaeology, or just after some great photo opportunities. If you're in the neighborhood, be sure to pencil in two to three hours to visit this place.

Fine. Nothing amazing, not worth going out of your way for. Sorry.

Lovely monastery, very beautiful. The freshly squeezed pomegranate juice is a must try! Absolutely lovely! The artefacts were preserved and interesting. Would have been better if we could have had a tour guide who could have told us more.
