Beautiful location to sit by the canal on a warm and summery day. Quiet and away from tourists. I stumbled across this place while exploring the area with my bicycle. If you’re in the area why not pass by and relax in front of the refreshing canal.

My favourite hardware store. Whenever I needed tools on short notice, they either had it on site or had them within a day or two. Not to mention it employs professionals. Highly recommended if you're a tradesman.

Namens Eveline van Os: Aftreden kabinet, mensen met korte lontjes, of die geen rekening met anderen houden...je zou er moedeloos van worden. Maar gelukkig is er ook nog gewoon een aardige vent van Gereedschapswinkel Kruis op de Rotterdamse Rijweg in Overschie die iemand spontaan helpt! De spiegel van mijn scootmobiel zat nl los, en na lang tobben, brak hij vrijdagmiddag ineens helemaal af. Ik heb artrose, ook in mijn nek, waardoor achterom kijken lastig is dus ik kan niet zonder spiegel. Ik wist niet wat ik moest doen, alles is immers dicht. Toen reed ik langs Kruis en zag dat er een soort balie bij de voordeur was, voor afhaalspullen. Ik dacht, ik vraag of zij raad weten. Wat denk je? Zegt die man, 'Ik kijk wel even', en heeft hij die spiegel met een hoop moeite er weer op gezet! Top! Heel blij mee, nogmaals hartstikke bedankt! Toen ik vroeg wat hij van mij kreeg, zei hij je glimlach. Waar vind je dat nog tegenwoordig?!
