We went and picked 10 lbs of blueberries. We have them 5 lbs and walked away with 5 lbs for free. The berries were very tasty! The hill was a challenge for me (disabled) bur workable. The blueberries were ripe and delicious! Bring your own containers..this is a beautiful place and we will go back!

Many people around Richford and Berkshire have been picking blueberries (and gooseberries and currants) at the Negus Farm for years. Open the months of July and August, 8am- 8pm according to the Cornell Extension website. Seemingly hundreds of large blueberry bushes on a north-facing slope, well tended, Usually loaded with berries by late July. About 1 mile east and uphill out of Richford on Rt 79, just as the highway starts to straighten out eastward again, there is an intersection - Victory Hill Rd to the NE, and Perry Rd (which you want) as a SHARP and almost hidden right turn to the SW. Follow Perry Rd as it straightens out to the south about a 1/4 mile, and there is a field entrance with a U-Pick sign. Follow the field road to the parking area. Currants & Raspberries are on the flat; blueberries are down the hill in rows paralleling the contours, so it's easiest to go to the right side (East) and walk down along the heads of the rows till you get to ones further down that have been less-picked over. The last couple years the Negus's have let you pick for shares: leave 50% by weight, and take the rest home for free! Or you can pay by the pound and take all you've picked. The weighing and pay station is at the farmhouse. Get there by returning to the intersection, but instead of going onto 79, follow the sign and continue onto the long driveway paralleling the highway to the house, drive around back, and you'll find the weigh & pay station on the pretty back porch. Note: the blueberry hill is steep to walk and pick on, but well mowed. Enjoy!! We take along ice-cream buckets and fill several SO easily!
