I was not happy one bit seeing as I have to come from colwyn bay and sit on the bus for over an hour I expected to have a good experience. Queued up for ages cos they only had 2 tills operating for people paying cash yet 4 tills for card payments to be honest it should've been the other way round. Was paying for my goods and I had a love to shop card and I said to the assistant do you take these and he wasn't sure (bearing in mind i had already googled which shops i could spend this in and Matalan came up on the list) anyway he asked the assistant next to him and she looked at it and said no our name isn't on the front of the card so he said no I said just cos ya name aint on the front it dont mean anything cos ya can spend these love 2 shop things in over 1000 stores so not every single name of store is gonna be wrote on there so therefore that put me 15.00 down out of my monies then I showed him an email for 5.00 off if ya spend over 25.00 but he had trouble scanning the bar code from my phone and blamed me cos he said can ya turn the brightness up well I aint tech savvy so I said oh I dont know how to do it also queue was building up so he then got some sanitiser on his disposable gloves and started rubbing his hands frantically and tried to put the brightness up on the phone and enlarged the barcode and then it worked. I normally love my shopping experience at matalan but this was a distressing one by far.

ALWAYS a queue here. Regardless of how busy. And whilst the staff are pleasant, by God, they all move like snails. No dynamism at all. It's all very lackadaisical...... Let's move about as slowly as we can, zzz Like I said, they're all very nice people but.... Do not go there if you've got anything else to do that day!

Always such a massive selection of clothes for the whole family. It's nice to see theyve kept prices down. I used to go here all the time before Rhyl was lost to crime. The staff are lovely, store is clean and great clothing at realistic prices.
