First (and also the last) time coming to this place. The duck kueh chap is not my type of food. It is RM 10/bowl. For me, it is very strong pork taste, with pork intestine, pork blood cube inside. Well, this can be personal preference and very subjective. I felt forced to order the drink or dessert. Not even have time to sit down and have a look, then the lady came twice to ask for drink/dessert order. RM 4/bowl, less quantity.

A place to find barley fuchuk dessert with gingko in the evening. Due to its scarcity in Penang, one has to be content with this less than perfect homemade sweet effort.

This prawn noodle is good. Soup is thick enough. Much better thn the one @ new lane hawker.

Came here for the famous duck kueh chap. Sat inside the shop and was forced to buy a drink/ dessert. This “rule” is not stated beforehand when the customers enter the shop for a seat just for dining-in for duck kueh chap. Unethical business method by the drinks stall (Shi Tang Shui Pu) definitely never coming back again. The duck kueh chap was so-so too (thick kueh, bland soup, prefer pork kueh chap any other day).

Duck meat kway chap. Comes with thin white noodle (the kway) and duck meat, egg, pig intestine, pig blood cake and pig ear all inside a bowl with dark gravy. Can choose to add on duck drumstick. Must be prepared to Q. The food is good but the noodle is slightly harder then what I am used to. The Q don’t stop the whole night till it is sold out and it gets very crowded at night.

Looks good but not the taste. The herbs taste of the keow chap is not there. The keow is not cooked properly. Some is hard, some soft. If you are an experienced keow chap foodie, you may want to skip this.
