Wow - I NEVER write reviews am compelled to do so based on the patient's inability and a doctor's unwillingness to communicate via phone or portal following a visit. Medical practices are all moving their patients to their one stop shop \portals\ . To message one's doctor you must first select their facility. - The facility is not listed and is not found when attempting to look it up. I feel for the Office staff who are put between a rock and a hard place to follow company line while dealing with frustrated patients who are prevented from communicating with their doctor and are dealt with a portal, that has limited functionality, and that which they haven't received sufficient training on. After hitting a dead end with the portal, I contacted the doctor's nurse stating that I had follow up questions for the doctor and that I would like to either securely email or ask these questions over the phone. - The doctor refused stating that it would be more efficient to ask these questions in a follow up visit! - How is a follow up visit more efficient than a phone call or a secure message that the doctor could respond at a time which is convenient to him? - Efficient in that the doctor gets to charge the patient and the insurer for information directly related to a recent visit. Information that he as a professional should be providing his patien - especially considering that no literature was sent home with the patient. Efficient in that the patient needs to take time off from work and pay an additional co-payment???? Sounds like billable hours trump enabling patients to make informed decisions when it comes to surgery versus alternative options. - Maybe law school would have been a better choice? It comes as no surprise to see such low ratings for this practice. Specialists need to recognize that there is more to patient satisfaction than positive outcomes. Customer / patient service is obviously an after thought.
