Horrible experience. Do not rent from this organization. I rented a canoe online and they took my money but when I went to pick it up, they had a stupid post it note sign that said they're closed today for \dock repairs\. This was not listed on their page and they never answer their listed number. Hopefully they'll have the decency to refund me.

Be sure to call before you go. They are sometimes away at various events. Rental rates are reasonable. Good views of boats and seaplanes. Also a good spot to watch the Blue Angels in August.

This was my first time going there and my sister ended up dislocating her shoulder. There was no assistance whatsoever. We got in the canoe and kayaks on our own (with no assistance, no one even asked us if we needed help) and out of the kayak on our own. My sister was clearly struggling to get into her single kayak and ended up flipping and dislocating her shoulder from trying to stabilize herself by grabbing the deck. When coming back to the deck, I had to ask one of my friends to stabilize the canoe so my cousin and I could get out. And no workers were even on the deck when we came back! I would highly recommend the UW Waterfront Activities Center over this place. Better assistance and services

Not for inexperience kayakers, they don’t help you get in the water or give guidance on where to go. It’s pretty much self serve. They also don’t give wet bags so don’t bring valuables with you as they have no where to store your things. Also because of COVID they are using bleach to sanitize their kayaks, which ruined our clothes. We didn’t notice until we had left. Not too environmentally friendly putting bleach on the kayaks since these boats are going in the lake and Cedar River.
